Why practice? September 10, 2007
Posted by pbbarngrover in : Posts , comments closedPractice is an important part of playing a musical instrument. It does many things:
1. Strengthens muscles
2. Develops correct habits.
3. Reinforces what was learned in class.
Students should practice weekly, at least 90 minutes per week. Beginners (6th grade) should practice 120 minutes per week, bu no more than 30 minutes a day.
Parents can support their students by listening to them play at least once a week.
