PE Teacher Earns Nine-State Regional Award

Clayton Ellis named Outstanding High School Physical Education Teacher of the YearAurora Central P.E. teacher Clayton Ellis has been named the Central District High School Teacher of the Year by the American Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

After winning the Colorado High School Teacher of the Year award, Ellis competed for the CDA award with other state high school Teachers of the Year from the Central District AAHPERD nine-state region.

He will now compete for the honor at the national level.

Ellis has been a teacher for 25 years and has taught in APS for 10.
